Signing up as a Dealer is really very simple.  There is a one half page application which asks basic information such as name, address, social security number, etc. You simply fill out the form, sign it, include your payment and mail it to AMSOIL Inc.

The cost is very reasonable.  To initially become a Dealer you have two options- one for those who are serious about running their new AMSOIL business and provides extensive technical and business information and one that provides a slightly less comprehensive package at a lower cost.

The first option costs $65.00 This includes processing of your application, one full year of all Dealer rights and privileges (including product discounts and the ability or sign up other accounts) and a very comprehensive business start-up manual. There is also an optional literature pack which costs $30.00 and has literature samples and technical specifications for all AMSOIL products.  If you or a customer has a question about the AMSOIL Company, the AMSOIL business or AMSOIL products, you can almost be assured of finding the answer in this manual. If not you can always contact me or the AMSOIL Company.

The second option is either $15.00 for a 6-month Dealership or $30.00 for a 1-year Dealership. You will receive a start-up package of information and oil and filter catalogs as well as a 12 month subscription to the monthly AMSOIL Action News Magazine. The information provided in these two packages is far less comprehensive than the $65.00 option but does provide the basic information necessary to start your business.  If you are truly serious about building your AMSOIL business as a steady source of income I would recommend the $65.00 option. That is a small amount compared to the tens of thousands of dollars required to start up a franchise business.

The market for synthetic oil is increasing at phenomenal rates. Even during this recession our country is in now demand for AMSOIL products has never been better, and has nowhere to go but up. That's why I still consider the AMSOIL business to be a ground floor business opportunity. The growth potential is incredible and there are no limits to what you can do with this business. I make absolutely no money from the processing fee for your Dealer application.  Therefore I have no vested interest in seeing you purchase the more expensive Dealership option other than my desire for your success in this business.

With either option, when the initial Dealer term expires you pay a $30.00 renewal fee. The fee is paid annually in order to remain a Dealer.  AMSOIL also offers longer term Dealership options at a slightly lower cost.  If you purchase a minimum of about $80.00 in products for the year, you'll pay for your Dealership through your Dealer discount.

In addition with your AMSOIL business you also will reap many tax benefits when it comes time to do your yearly U.S. taxes if you are running it as a business and keeping accurate records. AMSOIL produces a Business Manual which is very helpful in this area; however you should always consult your tax advisor for professional advice for your specific situation.

AMSOIL Inc. has to have an original signed copy in their office on record, which is why they do not offer electronic on-line sign-up.

Once you've completed the application, send it to AMSOIL at the address in the upper left-hand corner of the application.  Don't worry about the missing street address. The folks in Superior, WI know where AMSOIL is -it'll get there.
