Application
The AMSOIL BMK30 and EaBP120 provide maximum filtration performance for virtually
all heavy-duty diesel applications, including Class 6, 7 and 8 heavy-duty trucks, off-road equipment, buses,
generators, marine engines, logging and agricultural equipment.
Product Description
The BMK30 is made from high-quality cast aluminum with a steel filter spud that
has been thoroughly tested in on-road and severe off-road service.
AMSOIL unveiled its new by-pass filtration mounts, which included a number of
improvements to an already superior product, such as better oil flow and more durable spin-on adapters. Now, AMSOIL
also offers the same technology for heavy-duty applications. The new AMSOIL Heavy-Duty By-Pass Filtration System
(BMK30) and Heavy-Duty Ea By-Pass Filter (EaBP120) offer maximum by-pass filtration performance for heavy-duty
applications. The BMK30 is made from high-quality cast aluminum with a steel filter spud that has been thoroughly
tested in on-road and severe off-road service. The mount is finished with a thick layer of powdercoated paint to
provide maximum resistance to the degrading effects of road salt, debris and engine compartment chemicals. In
addition, BMK30 By-Pass Filtration Systems can be plumbed in a series to provide maximum filtration protection for
large V12 and V16 engines. The filter mount features a 3/8" NPT connector that connects the outlet and inlet of
adjacent filter mounts.
AMSOIL EaBP120
The EaBP120 features the same synthetic nanofiber media as the rest of the Ea
By-Pass Filter family. The EaBP120 removes 98.7% of all contaminants two microns in size or larger (ISO 4548-12),
and provides an industry-leading soot-removal efficiency of 39% for particles less than one micron in size (ISO
23556). It comes complete with a marine powder-coated finish for long filter life, even in extreme conditions.
AMSOIL recommends changing the EaBP120 every other full-flow filter change up to 90,000 miles.Extended oil drain
intervals should always be accompanied by an oil analysis program.
Competitive Pricing
The AMSOIL BMK30 and EaBP120 provide state-of-the-art filtration performance at a
price hundreds of dollars less than the competition. Similar products from competitors such as Gulf Coast, Spinner
Centrifuge, Oil Purification System, Advanced Filtration Solutions and Cleantechnics, with no hoses or fittings,
range in price from $500 to $1,000. AMSOIL provides superior filtration performance for considerably lower cost. In
addition, each new BMK30 comes with a certificate for one free oil analysis from OIL ANALYZERS INC.
Availability
The AMSOIL BMK30 and EaBP120 are now available. For further application
information, consult the AMSOIL Online Product Application Guide at www.amsoil.com. The BMK30 comes with all
necessary hose-end fittings and mounting bolts, but does not include the filter, hose or engine adapter fittings.
The hose and engine adapters are not included due to the kit’s high variability of application. Before installing a
BMK30 kit, determine where the filter mount will be located and how much hose will be necessary to complete the
installation. The installer must also determine the size of the high- and low-pressure ports in order to determine
which engine adapters to purchase. Hose is available by the foot from AMSOIL (BP250), and adapter fittings can be
purchased from any hydraulics or heavyduty equipment outlet.
Oil Filter Technology
Absolute Efficiency
 AMSOIL Oil Filters have the best efficiency rating in the industry. The
Filters provide a filtering efficiency in accordance with industry standard ISO 4548-12 of 98.7 percent at 15
microns, while competitive filters containing conventional cellulose medias range from 40 to 80 percent
efficiency.
Less Restriction
AMSOIL Oil Filters have significantly lower restriction than conventional
cellulose media filters. Their small synthetic nanofibers trap smaller particles and hold more contaminants,
resulting in lower restriction. During cold temperature warm-up periods, a lube filter allows the oil to easily
flow through the filter compared to a typical cellulose filter. Lower restriction decreases engine wear.
More Capacity
A filter’s capacity refers to the amount of contaminants it can hold and still
remain effective. AMSOIL EaO Filters have a far greater capacity than competing filter lines. When used in
conjunction with AMSOIL synthetic motor oils in normal service, EaO Filters are guaranteed to remain effective for
25,000 miles or one year, whichever comes first.
Superior Construction
AMSOIL Ea Oil Filters are made with premium-grade full synthetic media. The
strictly controlled processing of this media ensures accurate filter construction, and is what allows Ea Oil
Filters to deliver higher capacity and efficiency along with better durability.
Over the service life of a conventional cellulose filter, hot oil will degrade the
resins that bind the media. The Ea Oil Filters’ full synthetic media technology is resin-free. It uses a wire
screen backing that is pleated with the media for superior strength.
Ea Oil Filters are constructed with HNBR nitrile gaskets that are fully tested to
extreme distances in numerous severe environments. The filters also feature fully tucked seams, a molded element
seal, roll-formed threads and a long-lasting premium-grade silicone anti-drain valve.
